May 13, 2026: Encounter Sidebar: Expanded Note Preview
We’ve improved the Encounter sidebar to make clinical context easier to review without leaving the encounter list.
When selecting an encounter, the sidebar now shows additional note content directly in the panel, including key sections such as Chief Complaint, History of Present Illness, and Assessment and Plan, and more. This gives users more immediate context about the encounter and reduces the need to open the full note just to understand the visit summary.
What changed
Previously, the sidebar showed a compact note reference under Notes. Now, the sidebar can display richer source-document content, including the note title, metadata, and clinically relevant excerpts.
Users can quickly scan the most important encounter documentation from the sidebar, helping them review patient history faster and with fewer clicks.

Previously, notes were hidden behind a click and formatted in a way that was hard to read.

With this update, notes are open by default and formatted in a way that's easier to read.
